Susan Elaine Posey Studdard, age 73, of Pine Bluff, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025.

Born October 5, 1951 at Crossett, AR, she was a daughter of Mrs. Fannie Lou Upshaw Posey of Crossett and the late J. Lee Posey. She was a graduate of Crossett High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

For several years, Susan worked as a nurse for Dr. Robinette and Dr. Blackwell. She later became a full-time homemaker and an active member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Bart Studdard, whom she married on November 24, 1972; her son, Matt Studdard (Kendell) of Pine Bluff; her mother, Fannie Posey of Crossett; a brother, Dr. David Posey (Faith) of Fayetteville; a sister, Tina Schiefelbein (Steve) of Mission, TX; and three grandchildren, Hunter, Mason, and Kaylyn Studdard.

Her funeral service will be Wednesday, August 13, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at Fuller Hale-South Chapel. Visitation is Tuesday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Good Faith Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, 9127 Sulphur Springs Road, Pine Bluff, AR 71603.

The family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Baptist Health Medical in Little Rock for their loving and compassionate care that Susan received while in their care. Special thanks go to Drs. Gentry, Walser, Barrito, and Soshoff. Also, a special loving thank you goes to Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

Active pallbearers will be Dr. James Studdard, James Hart, Dr. Danny Studdard, Delman Spharler, and grandsons, Hunter and Mason. Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Towers, Gary Funderburg, Mike Stover, and Ardell Carter.
