Danny Studdard, a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Born on May 17, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia, to JC and Dorothy Studdard. Danny lived a life filled with love, adventure, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Danny graduated from Gordon High School in 1965 before attending the University of Georgia, where he played baseball and proudly cheered on his beloved Bulldogs-GO DAWGS! After college, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Army.
In Atlanta, Danny met the love of his life, Jo Ann Studdard, and the two were married on November 26, 1974. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their children, Christie, Julie and Daniel.
In 1983, Danny and Jo Ann moved their family to Dallas, Texas, where they planted roots and built a wonderful community of friends and loved ones.
Danny's greatest joy was his grandchildren-Mackinley, Michael, Kennedy, and Brady-who were the light of his life. He loved cheering them on at their sporting events. He treasured every moment spent with them.
Danny had a passion for the outdoors, always keeping busy with projects in the yard or traveling in his motorhome. He loved the beach, exploring new places, and making memories with his family at the Frio River. His career in women's apparel spanned over 50 years, where he earned numerous awards and the respect of colleagues throughout the industry.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Daniel Studdard, his parents, JC and Dorothy Studdard, and his brother, Ray Studdard. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Jo Ann; daughters, Christie and Julie; son-in-law, Reed; and his treasured grandchildren, Mackinley, Michael, Kennedy, and Brady. Danny will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Danny's legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Allen Family Funeral Options.
