Allen Paul Carmichael, 73, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday October 12th, 2025. Born on January 9, 1952, in Columbia, South Carolina. Allen was a beloved son of the late Marian R. Carmichael and Carol L. Carmichael and the brother of the late James C. Carmichael. He is survived by his sister Sally C. Thompson (Charles C. "Tommy" Thompson Jr). He was a loving father to his children Joshua P. Carmichael, Stephen J. Carmichael, and Sara E. Jackson, and his two precious Grandchildren Ella J. Carmichael and Jett P. Carmichael.
Allen, known as Paul, had a passion and special talent with music, singing and playing instruments by ear. Paul loved to make people laugh and seemed to always have a joke ready whenever needed. He had a heart for people. He loved to bring joy, humor and lightheartedness to those around him.
Funeral arrangements are for family and close friends to be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park on October 16, 2025 at 2:00pm. Located at 845 Leesburg Rd. Columbia, SC 29209.
