Allen Wayne Clark was born June 5, 1942 to Allen W. Clark and Jewel Clark, in Midland TX. He passed from this earth on January 14, 2022 in Oklahoma City, OK.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Clark; mother, Jewel Clark; brother, Bill Clark, and his sisters: Betty Welch, Francis Alexander, and Sheryl Bunton.
Allen married Ruth Collinsworth of Abilene TX, July 29, 1960. He is the father of 3 children: Tony Clark of Canyon, TX, Scott Clark of Warr Acres, OK, and Stacy Clark of Warr Acres OK; grandfather of 4: Jared Clark, Travis Clark, Garrett Clark and Katlin Watson; great-grandfather of 7, and brother of Donnie Clark of Midland, TX.
Allen had many different jobs throughout his life, with the oilfield being his main career choice. He was a directional driller and a company man. He spent many years of his life living on drilling sites, missing a lot of important moments and occasions while doing his best to provide for his family. He was driven and ambitious to a fault. His family is thankful for the times they were able to spend together since his retirement.
In 2000, he accomplished a Lifelong dream of owning his own restaurant. He worked alongside his wife Ruth, son Scott and at times other family members. He also made lifelong friends with many others that were employed there and many customers that resided in that area. The restaurant closed after 5 years due to failing health and rising cost of supplying a small town restaurant.
After he completely retired he devoted his life back to God and spent time with his church family in Hobart, OK. After moving to Oklahoma City in 2020, he and his wife Ruth became members of South Yukon Church of Christ. He wanted desperately to be able to attend but his health prevented him from attending on a regular basis.
Allen was a dreamer. He had lots of things he wanted to do and see right up until his passing. He was loved by many and will be remembered as a jokester, singer, carpenter, good grilled master, and above all a loving husband, father and grandfather. Rest in peace Allen.
Allen would be honored by a gift supporting The Bethany Children's Health Center in his memory.
His life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the South Yukon Church of Christ, Yukon, OK.
