Allen Lee Davis, age 60, of Jacksonville passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024 at Little Rock's John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans' Hospital after a long, hard-fought, and valiant battle with cancer. He was born September 13, 1963, at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Anchorage, Alaska to the late Arthur F. Davis, Jr. and Nobuko Tonaki Davis.
Mr. Davis joined the United States Air Force at the age of 17 immediately following his graduation from Clinton High School, Clinton, Arkansas in 1981. He received an Associate of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and a certificate in East Asian studies from the University of Maryland. He retired after 20 years at the rank of Master Sgt. Upon retirement in 2011, he was employed at Honeywell as an Electronics Field Engineer in Okinawa. He returned to Jacksonville, Arkansas in 2016 to care for his mother. Allen was a dedicated martial artist and was the first non-Japanese to earn a 10th degree black belt in Uechi Ryu and an 8th degree black belt in Matsubayashi Ryu, both Okinawan forms of Karate. Allen was an avid hunter and fisherman and felt at peace outdoors with nature.
He is survived by siblings; Tony L. Davis (Cyndi), Deborah A. Topping (Micheal), and Kathy L. Davis; nephews and nieces; Andrew M. Cullinan, Nina M. Cullinan, Megan L. Davis, and Ryan L. Davis.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00a.m., Friday, April 12, 2024 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1504 West Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72120
