Allen R. Foltz, 88, of Streetsboro, passed away on August 30, 2025. He was born on April 19, 1937 the son of the late Raymond and Marie Foltz of Sandusky, Ohio. Allen retired from the Chrysler Corporation in 1999 after 34 years of dedicated service. At the age of 12, Allen accepted our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into his life. He was a man of great faith and was a member from 1970 to 1997 at First Baptist Church in Streetsboro and then from 1997 to 2025 he was a member of Mission Baptist Temple where he served as a Deacon and the Choir Director. He led the congregational music and taught Sunday School for both churches. He continued serving God's work beyond his Sunday responsibilities. Allen sang in the barbershop chorus called the Akron Derbytown Chorus. He enjoyed creating stained glass art works and maintaining the landscape around his home. He had many achievements but his greatest was his love of his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Foltz; and brothers Robert Foltz and David Foltz.
Allen is survived by his loving family, children Paul (Stacy) Foltz, Sharon (Jay) Holifield, Greg Foltz, and Scott (Amy) Foltz; grandchildren Randy Hensley, Haley Foltz, Michelle (Shane) Powell, Stephen Foltz, Rachel Hensley, Jenna Foltz, Kylie Foltz, Lainey Foltz, and Macie Foltz; great-grandson Finn Powell; brother Stanley Foltz; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am., Thursday, September 4th at Mission Baptist Temple (4163 Kent Rd., Stow 44224) where a service will be held at 11:00am with Pastor Ryan Gilin officiating.
Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.
