Roy Wilson "Bill" "Nate" Baird, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 16, 2025, at his home in Akron, Ohio. Born on July 10, 1946, Bill was a lifelong resident of Ohio where he graduated from Ellet High School, laying the foundation for a spirited life filled with love and laughter.
His devotion to his wife of 25 years, Deborah, was a testament to his capacity to love deeply. Together, they crafted a life filled with joy, laughter, and countless memories. Bill took great pride in his children: Desiree Johnson (Chad), Katie Norris (Matt), Tricia Anderson (Kenny), and Brian Neiferd; grandchildren: Elise and Tyler Johnson, and Blain (Kay) and Alaina Anderson; his great-grandsons: Bradley, Graysen, and Blain Jr. Anderson; and sister-in-law Kerry Sills, who will forever carry his spirit with them. His beloved pets, Bella and Rachael, affectionately known as his beautiful baby doggies, enjoyed much of his affection, adding further joy to his already rich life.
Throughout his life, Bill had a passion for travel and music. His love for singing resonated deeply within him, enriching his life and the lives of those fortunate enough to hear him. He had an adventurous spirit that was evident in his many travels and explorations.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Wilson Jr. and Carol Baird, who undoubtedly instilled in him the values of love and family that he carried throughout his life.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the joy of music that will continue to shine in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the many lives he touched.
