Allen "Rudy" Larue Jones was born January 14, 1953, in Pitt County to the late Ben Ashley and Lillie Blanche Jones. Rudy, as he was affectionately known, was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. In the prime of his life, he married Ella Louise Morgan and to this union, a child was born.
Rudy attended the Martin County School System. After high school, he joined the United States Army and diligently served for two years. After he served his country, Rudy was employed in the logistics industry, Westpoint Pepperell, and he served as a Correctional Officer. Rudy loved the outdoors and agriculture. He was an avid hunter and he enjoyed cooking for others. Rudy had a big heart and a very transparent personality. He was always willing to help others in their time of need. Rudy was without a doubt a proud father and grandfather.
Rudy transitioned from this earthly home to his new home on November 22, 2023. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Earl Jones and George Thomas Jones.
Rudy leaves to cherish his memory his children, Tomika Bryant of Tarboro, NC, Gary Sessoms (Billie) of Greensboro, NC, Bobby Dixon of Virginia Beach, VA, Queneda Jones of Phoenix, AZ; four brothers, Ben Ashley Jones Jr. (Sandra) of Everetts, NC, Humphrey Jones of Greensboro, NC, Elvis Jones (Cathy) of Bethel, NC, and Al Jones (Rhonda) of Richmond, VA; two sisters, Peggy Cox and Angela Jones both of Richmond, VA.; seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
