Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Jones-Harkins Funeral Home.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2023 at the Jones-Harkins Funeral Home Chapel.
Allen "Doug" Martin was born on April 10, 1949 in Poteau, Oklahoma to William and Tressie (Watkins) Martin. Doug graduated high school from Red Oak in 1967. After high school, Doug went to work in the oil field.
He married his wife Janice (Soper) Martin in 1971, in Desoto, Kansas. Doug was of the Church of Christ faith. He enjoyed taking care of his family and was a very hard worker. He will be missed.
He is survived by his wife: Janice (Soper) Martin of the home; his son: Michael "Todd" Martin and wife, Brande of Red Oak; his daughters: April Martin of Red Oak, and Kassie Allen of Red Oak; his grandchildren: Anthony Loyd, Dawson Martin, Brynlee Martin, Garrett Dyson, Kadyn Dyson, Denver Durant, Riley Allen, Reese Allen, and Avery Allen; his sister: Barbara (Martin) Lyons and husband Richard of Kentucky; and his nieces: Cheryl and husband, Roger of Eldorado, Illinois, and Lisa of Kentucky.
He is preceded in death by his parents: William Martin and Tressie (Watkins) Martin.
