Allen Joseph Senegal, affectionately known as "Eugene," was born on February 21, 1951, in Galveston, TX, to Wilson V. and Annie Mae Senegal. He attended Galveston ISD schools and graduated from Ball High School with the class of 1969. Eugene pursued a career as an electrician, dedicating 25 years to his profession before retiring. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 527.
In his spare time, Eugene enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, and sharing his unique sense of humor. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Barnes, and his children: Shawn, Jamelia, Torri, Constance, Teherea, Allen Jr., Emoni Rose, and Andrew. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, including Zyshone Boykins, Arianna Senegal, London Senegal, Tyairra Mack, Kameron Senegal, Aniyah Senegal, Chance Andrews, Chanden Green, Alayna Senegal, Na'Veyah Senegal, and Ma'leiah Senegal. Eugene's extended family includes many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins, with Zonia Wilturner Smith and Shirley Thomas being especially close to him.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Ray Senegal, his sister Mary Senegal, and his beloved stepdaughter Ta'Casha Andrews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but the memories he created will last forever.
