Jessie James Bryant, Jr. age 94, of Brazoria, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Born on September 20, 1930, Jessie lived a long and meaningful life marked by strength, service, and unconditional love for his family.

He accepted Christ at an early age and later rededicated his life to Christ at Island Church in Galveston in 2014. Jessie dedicated 35 years of service to United States National Bank, where he was known for his integrity, loyalty, and hard work. Beyond his career, he found joy in life's simple pleasures - playing the guitar, fishing, watching wrestling, cutting his lawn, and repairing lawnmowers and cars.

Those who knew Jessie remember him as independent, strong-willed, loving, and always willing to help others. His generous and resilient spirit will never be forgotten. Jessie Bryant Jr.'s life was a testimony of resilience, love, and service.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the blessing of knowing him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Mable Bryant; his beloved spouse, Joyce Marie Bryant (married 1949–1967) and significant other Mildred Joyce Johnson (1968–1997); his siblings: Elder P.J. Bryant, William Cullen, Abe Taylor Bryant, Helen Marie Miles, Doris Jean Smith, Missionary Shirley Temple Hills, and Josephine "Roxie" Bryant; and children: Robert Earl Bryant and Barbara Ann Holmes.

Jessie is survived by his devoted children: Betty Ann Bryant (Willie James), Jessie "Butch" Bryant III, Douglas Joseph (stepson), Mable Louise Bryant, Patricia Ann Johnson (Eliseo Flores), and Debra Ann Leon (stepdaughter). His legacy lives on through 23 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. Siblings: Elder Alvis Bryant (Gloria), Evelyn Lewis, Cora Jesse (Luther), and Linda Davidson, all of whom were deeply loved and cherished; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
