Allen Troy Smith, 63, of Fletcher, NC, transcended into eternal rest on May 18, 2025 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. Born in Brevard, NC, he was the son of the late Willie Louis and Bessie Elaine Robinson Smith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Parks and his brother, Samson Smith.
A 1981 graduate of Brevard High School, he later graduated from Blue Ridge College before going to work for Eaton, Cutler-Hammer, where he worked over twenty years as a power control systems operator. He also made a career out of power lifting and as a trainer. He enjoyed playing Rugby as well as wrestling and Karate'.
He loved to fish as well as western movies, shopping and doing outside work. He was always ready to greet you with a smile and kind words as well as asking you if there was anything you needed.
His loving survivors include his sister, Nioca Robinson (Leonard), brothers Guy Willie Louis Smith, Gardener McKay Smith, and nephew David Deoplous Robinson, niece Jennia Robinson, Kevin and Sheena Crawford; and great-nieces Addison Robinson, Amyiah Robinson; great-nephews Teon Smith and Tyree Smith; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral Services for Allen Troy Smith will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Bethel A Baptist Church in Brevard. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of memory in Pisgah Forest.
