It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Allen P. Wilson Jr., also affectionately known as Pat, who left us too soon on July 31, 2025. Born on Halloween of 1990, in Austin, Texas, Allen was a vibrant and adventurous soul who infused every moment with laughter and joy. His Halloween birth seemed to set the tone for his life, as Allen was known for his hilarious pranks and unexpected jokes, always managing to scare the wits out of someone, all in good fun. He carried a charismatic aura around him, often cracking jokes out of the blue, his funny antics lighting up the room, and his laughter echoing in our hearts.
Allen was a dedicated individual, a hard worker whose achievements were a testament to his diligence and tenacity. His love for bowling, skating, swimming, and shooting pool made him the perfect companion for adventurous outings. Yet, amidst his playful nature, Allen was a loving and protective figure, immensely dedicated to his family and friends. He was especially close to his nephew JV, whom he constantly had by his side. As Mark Twain once said, "The secret of success is making your vocation your vacation," and Allen lived this truth, making every moment count, and filling the lives around him with love and laughter.
Allen leaves behind a loving family that includes his sister Briana Wilson, Alia Wilson, father Allen Sr., Stepmother Shawndale Wilson and brothers Robert Green Jr., and Myron Wilson., Trevon Tucker and nephews Jv, lil Robert and Benjamin. Grandmother Doris Jones. Followed by aunts, uncle and cousins He now joins his mother Cassandra Wilson, grandparents Mary Carroll, Lemuel Carroll Sr, Lemuel Carroll Jr. and Peggy Wilson, and Aunt Billy, who preceded him in death.
The funeral service for Allen will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the King-Tears Mortuary, located at 1300 East 12th Street, Austin, Texas. The funeral service at 3:00 pm.
The family invites you to share your memories and photos of Allen on his memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a comforting reminder of the loving, funny, and adventurous man Allen was, and the indelible mark he has left on all our lives. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "It is not length of life, but depth of life," and Allen's life, though short, was indeed deep, filled with joy, laughter, and love.
