Allie was born on September 21, 1927, in Stacy, NC, to the late Redon and Alvenia Harris. A devoted member of Stacy Methodist Church, Allie lived a life full of kindness, faith, and grace. She was known for her gentleness and her gift of hospitality. Allie truly never had a bad word to say about anyone, and her warmth left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She had a love for planting flowers in the spring, sewing and quilting with care, cooking hearty meals from scratch, and getting lost in a good book or puzzle. Allie especially loved babies and children, but she loved everyone and in return was loved by them. She knew no strangers and accepted everyone into her life and home. She was a true blessing to her family, church, and community.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her son, Kevin J. Gaskill (Joyce) of Stacy, NC; stepson, Colon Gaskill (Bonnie) of Louisburg, NC; grandchild, Travis Gaskill; great-grandchild, Eden Gaskill; step-grandchildren, C.W. Gaskill, Teresa Gates, Dawn Brown, and Keith Williams.
In addition to her parents, Allie was preceded in death by her husband, Guion Gaskill; sisters, Vivian Lewis, Ruby Salter, Nellie Zenger; and brothers, Ross and Glen Harris.
