Allison Avery Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory - Live Oak on Feb. 18, 2026.
Allison Keith Avery, 71, of Lake City, Florida, passed away on February 17, 2026.

Born on February 22, 1954, in Live Oak, Florida, Allison was raised in Live Oak before later making his home in Lake City. He carried with him a deep love for his family and the community he grew up in.

Allison was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He shared a loving life with his wife, Diane Kay Avery, building years of memories rooted in love, laughter, and dedication to one another and their family.

His greatest joy in life was his family. He especially treasured his role as Grandpa and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether gathered for special occasions or enjoying simple, everyday time together, those moments meant the most to him.

Allison also enjoyed bowling, a pastime that brought him both friendship and enjoyment over the years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Kay Avery; his children, Neal Trent Burkett III (Lorgenia), Erika Renee Matz (Thomas), and Erin Leigh Thomas; his grandchildren, Kayli McCathern (Taylor), Jacob Parsons (Casey), Caleb Parsons, Caleb Alford, Trenna Burkett, Joshua Parsons, Neal "Trent" Burkett IV, Adrianna Alford, Jordyn Parsons, Lily Thomas, and Matthew Matz; three great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Russell Avery (Maxine), Linda Gail Wilson, and Dixie Alderson (Leroy).

Allison will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held at Daniels Funeral Home on Saturday, February 21st from 1:00-3:00 pm.

Condolences may be shared with the family online by signing the guestbook.
