Allie was my big sister, best friend, role model, and love of my life.
I´ve said this before but it bears repeating: Allie made me feel like she and I could solve any problem, that she loved my kids as much as I do, that we loved each other as much as the parents we were missing loved us, that it was us together always, that we were each other's heart and soul, that she understood me completely, that I was her person and she was mine and that we were never alone in this world.
Allie had the most beautiful smile of anyone I´ve ever known and it´s how I will remember her always.

I met Allison 15 years ago
In a instant we were friends
I see Allison almost everyday. A person passing
A angel in the sky
She is around I feel her

Allison and I met in graduate school,
We´ve been friends for over 30 years. The best friend, and colleague I was lucky to know her. She was a guiding light and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to be in her presence. Always kind, wise and such a gentle soul.
I will always be grateful for all we shared. A beautiful person inside and out.

I remember Allison welcoming me to the neighborhood 25 years ago. She was so sweet and loving and kind. We sat on my front porch and talked for awhile. I felt so lucky to have such a nice neighbor. I will miss her beautiful smile when we passed each other on walks around the block. She alway, always had kind words to share and a sunny smile. Our very deepest sympathy and love to the family. Allison and I are related through marriage: we each found a Gruder cousin to love. Mark and I frequently visited their Fairfield home. Last Summer we met Alli and Ken in St. Augustine, FL. We shared a condo and had a blast. We went shopping while the men waited outside. We never bought anything, but we commented about the fashions we saw. Allison was a thorough window shopper. If it were a sport, she´d have come home with the gold! Every time we went anywhere, we´d drop into a shop if one was open. She was quite the fashionista. During Black Friday weekend we´d take the kids to Old Navy an hour before closing to get the deals.
Alli always made us feel welcome and was always upbeat. She always had a smile for us. She called us the "fun cousins."
She was a dedicated mother who was so proud of her kids. She was a devoted wife to Kenny. Their parenting skills were in synch, even when the kids would try to pull a fast one, as most do. She was also dedicated to her work and clients. I loved her smile and spirit and memories of her will stay with me forever. We love you Alli! Rest now, the kids can take it from here.
