Allyn L. Goodlock

Adrian – Allyn Leigh Goodlock, age 75, of Adrian, passed away June 27, 2024, at home with his family. He was born January 30, 1949, in Adrian, to Dorman and Evelyn (Pickford) Goodlock. Allyn graduated from Onsted High School in 1967.
He was a mechanic for 40 years, earning a certificate of master mechanic and sold tools for Cornwell before retiring in 2016. Allyn had many hobbies over the years, including go-cart racing, racing late model cars at Oakshade Raceway, and beekeeping. He enjoyed gardening, metal and woodwork, 3D laser printing, and taking his creations to local craft shows.
Allyn married Shirley Foster-Grow in 2011. Together, Allyn and Shirley shared a love for travel. Some of their favorite destinations were Hawaii, Tennessee, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They enjoyed camping, gold mining, and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
He enjoyed deer hunting with his brother, Ted, and his best friend and cousin, the late Jerry Seager. Allyn also enjoyed time with his high school friend, Richard Kern; neighbor, Brial Milner; friend, Tony Trepka; and his beloved dog, Toby.
Allyn was preceded in death by his father, Dorman Goodlock; and his mother, Evelyn (Pickford) Goodlock. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley (Foster-Grow) Goodlock; daughters, Amy (Goodlock) Gross and Tina Goodlock; seven grandchildren, Kyle (Mickey) Esty, Vanessa Gomez, Alicia (Josh Jaimez) Gomez, Krystal Gomez, Derek Esty, Andrew (Alexandra Bruck) Esty, and Ty Gross; three great-grandchildren, Jocelynne Soto, Zayden Jaimez, and Oliver Esty; brothers, Robin (Doris) Goodlock, and Ted (Linda) Goodlock; sister, Cheryl (Stuart) Goodlock-Proctor; four step-children, Susan Miller, Bruce (Julie Stevens) Smith, Richie Smith, and Lisa Smith; step-grandchildren, Brett, Austin, Devon, Samantha, and Kayla Smith, Matt (Justine) Avery, Tony Stevens, and Chanda (Tony Trepka) Avery; and step-great-grandchildren, Haley and Carson Todd, Silas, Guliana, Annabella, and Kaydenz Avery, Gunner Trepka, and Malachi Stevens.
Memorial visitation for Allyn will take place on Monday, July 8, 2024, at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM; at which time a memorial service will take place. Pastor Fritz Kruse will officiate.
