CLAYTON – Evelyn Irene Goodlock, age 98, of Clayton died January 17, 2022, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility. She was born on May 9, 1923, in Rome Twp. to William C. and Alice (Dart) Pickford. She graduated from Onsted High School and from the Women's and Children's Nursing School. On January 23, 1945, she married Dorman Goodlock in Onsted. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1993. Evelyn was a RN for Bixby Hospital until 1964 and then worked for the Health Department for 23 years, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed gardening and reading and studying about psychology and self-improvement.
Evelyn in survived by three sons, Allyn (Shirley) Goodlock, Rob (Doris) Goodlock, and Ted (Lynda) Goodlock, all of Adrian; a daughter, Cheryl (Stuart) Goodlock-Proctor of Clayton; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Dorman, she was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Naomi Kimball and Maxine Pickford in infancy.
Funeral services for Evelyn will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Rev. Stuart L. Proctor officiating. Burial will be in North Dover Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Per the family's request, masks will be required.
