She went to work at Guaranty Mortgage Company where she worked for 35 years, later working for First American Bank before retiring. She was a member of Crieve Hall Church of Christ.
Al was preceded in death by her parents Eston and Versie Moss Spivey, husband Raggio "Joe" Forkum.

To know Al was to love her. She always had a story to tell, that always ended in a good laugh. She had a great sense of humor. She never met a stranger and always found a way to connect to that person. Her greatest joys in life was living life to the fullest and making people smile. She will be dearly missed
by all who knew her.
