Alma Louise “Peggy” Fitts, 81, of Kosciusko, Mississippi passed away on November 16, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Attala Memory Gardens. Rev. Mike Barrentine will officiate the service.
Peggy was born on March 12, 1944, to Robert Schuler and Earline Moudy Jenkins in Mississippi. She was a homemaker.
Peggy entered her heavenly home surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver, and friend, Peggy’s greatest joy was her family.
Peggy loved the Lord with a gentle, steadfast faith that shaped everything she did. Her walk with Christ was evident not only in her words but in her actions. She cared deeply, prayed earnestly, and lived each day with a servant’s heart.
She truly never met a stranger. Whether in the grocery store aisle, at church, or anywhere in between, Peggy had a way of making people feel seen and loved. Helping others wasn’t something she did—it was who she was.
Peggy leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and compassion. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in every act of kindness inspired by her life.
She is survived by her sons, Austin (Elaine) Furlow of Crystal Springs, Mississippi, Frank (Lisa) Furlow of Kittrell, North Carolina, Travis Fitts of Kosciusko, Mississippi, and Doug (Lindsay) Fitts; daughter, Lea (Jim) Nunnery of Holcomb, Mississippi; brother, Robert Earl Schuler of Kosciusko, Mississippi, Beverly Odom of Kosciusko, Mississippi, and Rita Lowe of Kosciusko, Mississippi; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Fitts was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Barbara Wikoff.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
