Mrs. Alma Gertrude Nestler, 98, passed away at Broward Health North in Pompano, FL on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Mrs. Nestler was born in Bulloch County on June 6, 1926 to the late Charles Holton and Carrie Moore Holton. She worked for many years before her retirement as a bank secretary and enjoyed dancing and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Holton and sister, Virginia Holton.
Survivors include her son, Charles Floyd of Davie, Fl; two daughters, Susan Floyd of Deerfield Beach, FL, Carolyn Beauchamp of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Ronald Holton of Pembroke and William Holton of Pembroke Pines, FL; three grandchildren, Charles Floyd, Jr., Tammy Mayes and Stacy Floyd and seven great grandchildren, Tucker Floyd, Easton Floyd, Ashley Floyd, Calvin Floyd, Ivan Floyd, Brad Mayes and Zack Mayes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.
Graveside service will follow at Bulloch Memorial Gardens in Statesboro.
