Alonzo "Del" Orme Obituary
Alonzo Delmer “Del” Orme, 91, of Stockport, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 24th, 2025.
Del was born July 18, 1933 in Glouster, Ohio to Alonzo Benjamin Orme and Helen W. (Latta) Orme.
Del was an extremely hard working man. He was very proud of his 38 years as a railroader for CSX. He loved vacationing, and later, living at his place on the Muskingum River. Prior to the railroad he served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956. He like to travel, especially to Las Vegas. He was a member of the Masons, the VFW and was active in the Morgan County Historical Society and the Port of Morgan Boat Club.
Del will be deeply missed by his children, Shari (Craig) Bland, Gary (Cindy) Orme, April (Mike) Crum; grandchildren, Shawn (Cara) Orme, Michelle (Mark) Correll, Stacie (Peter) Dahlstrom, Julie (Bryan) Alloway, Daniel (Stephanie) Bland, Michael (Rhiannon) Crum, Robert (Sarah) Crum, Christopher (Katherine) Crum, Andrew Crum; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.
Del was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Antoinina. (Nena) L. Caito Orme; and his parents.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 2nd, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer NW Chapel, 10051Brewster Lane, Powell, OH 43065
Funeral service will be Monday, February 3rd, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Benjamin Prill officiating.
Burial will be at Dew Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
