Altagrace Beauvil, born in Port au Prince, Haiti on May 15, 1948, passed away in Miami, Florida on May 25, 2025, at the age of 77. Altagrace was born a fighter and fought a long battle of three months at Jackson North Medical Center before she was called home to God to be with the loved ones that passed before her.
Altagrace was a woman with an endless capacity to love as shown by the large blended family she nurtured. She was graceful, tenacious, and caring and would always answer the call to mother when possible. She was hardworking and dedicated to ensuring her children could achieve new limits beyond what they could even imagine.
An entrepreneur, Altagrace spent her life building small businesses that would not only sustain her family but also allow her to enrich the lives of others in Haiti as she traveled throughout the country to sell goods, cook, and support her fellow Haitians.
We will remember Altagrace as someone who was strong, caring, motivated, and loved pwason (fish). As she lives on through the family and friends she nourished physically and emotionally, we will continue to hear her saying, respekte tet ou (respect yourself).
She is survived by her partner of 50 years Jacky Alexandre, her children Myrlande Bien-Aime, Lazard Bien-Aime, Joel Alexandre, Wilguens Alexandre, Dady Alexandre, Myrlene Alexandre, James Alexandre and her grandchildren Bianca Joseph, Myra Joseph, Kristoff Bien-Aime, Alexandria Bien- Aime, Donji Alexandre, Maelly Alexandre, Kaylie Lubin Alexandre, Nathanael Alexandre Fils, and Jamia Alexandre. Her kindness as a mother extended beyond her family to Nicole Bien-Aime, Amson Bien-Aime, and Cleantha Lindi. In addition to Altagrace's children and grandchildren, she leaves behind her sister, nieces, nephews, cousins, sons/daughters in law, and the remaining Beauvil family in Haiti.
A church service will be held at Notre Dame D'Haiti Catholic Church, Miami, Florida on Saturday June 21, 2025. Interment will follow at Miami Memorial Park.
