Alton Gaspard Obituary
Funeral services officiated by Deacon Bryan Istre will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 22, 2025, at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan honoring the life of Alton "Tanny" Gaspard, 79, who passed away on December 19, 2025, peacefully surrounded by his family. He will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery.
A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lilly B. Gaspard of Kaplan; three sons, Mark Gaspard (Alicia) of Forked Island, Randy Gaspard (Jan) of Kaplan, and Trason Gaspard of Forked Island; three step-sons, Lee Schexnider (Maxine) of Kaplan, Andrew Schexnider (Gabrielle) of Pennsylvania, and Jean Schexnider of Cecilia; one step-daughter, Alina S. Perro (Rodney) of Cecilia; one sister, Glenda "Tit Tit" Delahoussaye of New Iberia; two brothers, Doyce Gaspard of Forked Island and Wilton "T-Neg" Gaspard of New Iberia; four grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and fifteen step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Faye Gaspard; parents, Edvard Gaspard and the former Sylvia Ryder; one brother, Harris Gaspard; one sister, Glenda "Chub" Miguez; one grandson, Mark Gaspard; and one great grandson, Chance Champagne.
All funeral arrangements are being conducted by Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan (337) 643-7276.
