A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM, on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Melissa Dronet, 72, who passed away peacefully at her residence on December 21, 2025. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Stephen S. Irudayasamy officiating the services.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gregg Meaux, Kent Meaux, Boyd Meaux, Taylor Meaux, Blake Williams, Jared Labry.
Melissa was a gifted artist and longtime business owner who operated a T-shirt shop for many years. Her creativity, eye for design, and warm personality bought joy to many. Melissa also had a deep affection for her Weimaraner dogs and leaves behind her beloved companion, Gemma. She cherished her sisters, Virgie and Judy, and now rejoins her family in a heavenly reunion filled with peace and love.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Virgie M. Dronet and Judy Dronet and by her parents, Percy Dronet and the former Zula Harrington.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Our Lady of the Most Holy Roman Catholic Church, 600 N. Church Avenue on December 26, 2025, from 10:30 AM until the time of services at 11:30 AM.
May her soul find eternal rest in the loving arms of our Lord, and may her memory be a blessing to all who carry her in their hearts.
