Alton W. Good, 74, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, at Luther Acres Nursing Home in Lititz. Born in Ephrata, Al was a son of the late Norman B. Jr. & Emma (Weiler) Good, and the loving husband of Jane (Shirker) Good for nearly 43 blessed years.
Alton and Jane enjoyed their time living in Schoeneck and have enjoyed the past 8 years living in Cornwall. They attended LCBC Church in Ephrata for many years. Upon graduation, Al worked in the screen printing industry and started A&W Screen Printing, Inc. in 1984. Beyond his professional life, Al enjoyed playing ice hockey and fast pitch softball, working on cars and open track days, and winters in Florida. He also enjoyed driving for the American Cancer Society Road to Recovery Program. But most of all, he loved being a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
One thing remained constant over the course of Al’s life was his courage and faith during many health challenges. He was an inspiration to all who knew and loved him. We valued what he said but learned more watching him live his life. We will miss him tremendously.
Along with his wife, Jane, Alton W. Good is survived by three children, Kristy (Brent) Firestone, Heather (Christopher) Sweinhart, and Jason (Jessica) Good; seven grandchildren, Kaitlin (Matthew) Karmilowicz, Riley (Laura) Firestone, Reece (Paige O’Donnell) Firestone, Sierra Wright, Kerek Wright, Avery Good, & Dylan Good; two great grandchildren, Brooks Karmilowicz & Warren Karmilowicz; seven siblings, Clifford (Yvonne) Good, Curvin (Joy) Good, Thelma (Clarence) Martin, Wilmer (Elaine) Good, Janet (Hudson) Hughes, Lois (Estes) Proudfoot, Norman (Jamie) Good; brother-in-law, Dale (Joy) Shirker; sister-in-law Denise Shirker; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Alton is predeceased by a brother-in-law, Bruce Shirker; and a great-granddaughter Lillian Karmilowicz.
