Alva Sims Obituary
Alva, a native of California lived there for over 90 years. Born Alva Louise Bryson in Antioch California to Cleveland and Dulcie Bryson of Bloomington. Alva is a 1949 graduate of Colton High School. After High School she worked 5 years as an operator for Pacific Telephone in Colton. She later met and married Valton Sims in 1952 and both raised a family in Bloomington until moving to Rialto in 1964. Later moving to Highland in 1993. She was retired from Kaiser Permanente Hospital where she was an Assistant Medical Records Administrator for 28 years.
She was preceded in death by husband Valton "Val" Sims and grandson Nick Sims. Survivors include her two sons, James (Kelley) and Steven (Glenda); two brothers, Sterl (Donna) Bryson; Jim (Emilee) Bryson; and three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Private graveside services at Green Acres Memorial Park, Bloomington, CA at a later date.
