Alvin Kietz Obituary
Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Sam and Sally (née Moses) Kietz, he resided there for 3 years, before moving to Manhattan, NY. He lived many years in Brooklyn. He spent 25 years in Manalapan.
Prior to retiring in 1988, Alvin was an art director for Popular Mechanics and The Homeowner Magazines in New York, NY for 40 years.
He was a member of the Shore Parkway Jewish Center for 20 years.
In his spare time, he loved music, singing, was an avid fan of The New York Mets, and spending time with his family.
Alvin is predeceased by his parents, Sam and Sally Kietz; and his wife, Frances.
He spent over thirty years with his loving fiancée, Gloria Zapin.
Surviving are his son, Steven Kietz and his wife, Barbara, of Woodbury, NY; his daughter, Pam Dubson and her husband, Jordan, of Monroe Township, NJ; his brother, Lenny Kietz; his sister-in-law, Judi; his grandchildren, Lauren, Adam, Joshua; and his great-grandchildren, Jordan and Madeleine.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11:15 am, at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, NY, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, East Brunswick, NJ. For directions, please view our "Events" listed below.
