Alvina L Tomasi ObituaryHermansville- Alvina L. Tomasi, 97, of Hermansville, Mich., passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Pinecrest Medical Care Center, Powers, Mich.
She was born January 17, 1928, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Walter and Victoria (Bialoracki) LaKomy. Alvina grew up and attended school in Chicago. She married David Tomasi on July 2, 1949.
Alvina was a cook for North Central School in Hermansville, and a member of St. John Neumann Church in Hermansville.
Survivors include her loving husband of 75 years, David, one son, Ronald (Sue) Tomasi, Loretto, Mich.; two daughters, Patricia (David) Mouford, Wilson, Mich., and Laurie (Guy) Michaud, Iron Mountain, Mich.; five grandchildren, Shelly (Joe) Anderson, Ashley (Cameron) Miller, Amber (Rick) Bottesi, Max (Maddie) Michaud and Shawn Coombs; seven great-grandchildren, Jaden, Brody, Lucas, Bradley, Ava, Hudson and Hannah; and by manly nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Alvina was preceded in death by six brothers, Walter, Joseph, Edward, Edwin, Stanley and John; and one sister, Helen Novak.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Hermansville, Mich. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Rev. Benny Mathew will officiate. A Luncheon will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the American Legion in Hermansville, Mich. Burial will take place in the Hermansville Meyer Cemetery in the spring.
