Alyssa G. Wiederhoeft

On the morning of Monday, October 3, 2022, Alyssa Gayle Preston Wiederhoeft passed away peacefully and surrounded by family. Alyssa was born in Paducah, Kentucky, on November 30, 1973, to her parents William and Lucy (Yarbrough) Preston. She eventually found her way to Muskegon, a town that she loved. On July 8, 2011, Alyssa was united in marriage to her best friend, Eric Wiederhoeft. Alyssa was always the brightest light in the room and always made sure that everyone around her was happy. She loved to travel and spend time with her family, especially on Lake Michigan, either on her boat or on the dock next to all her friends. Alyssa was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Eric Wiederhoeft; son, Peyton Lafever; two daughters: Emma Lafever and Ava Wiederhoeft; mother, Lucy Preston; and three brothers: Phillip Preston, Adam (Brittany) Preston, and Ben Preston. Alyssa was preceded in death by her father, William Preston. No funeral will be taking place per Alyssa's request, but a CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be taking place from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM on November 20, 2022, at The Lake House Waterfront Grill and Event Center (730 Terrace Point Rd, Muskegon, MI 49440). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to The Sarcoma Alliance or The Sarcoma Foundation of America.
