Lois M. Wiederhoeft

A private family graveside service for Lois M. Wiederhoeft, age 103, of Fairmont, MN, will be held at a later date at Basey Cemetery in Winnebago, MN. Lois passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lois was born on May 10, 1922, to Bertha and Fred Hartmann in Rutland Township, Martin County. She attended school at Saint James Lutheran School in East Rutland and was married in 1942.
In 1964, Lois began her 40-year career at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center. She was known for her hard work, dedication, and kindness.
Lois was a proud and independent woman who lived in her own home until the age of 98. She loved gardening and took great joy in canning the vegetables she harvested. She kept her own garden until age 95.
She is survived by her daughter Jeanne (Jack) Doolittle and granddaughter Jessica Doolittle, as well as extended family and friends who cherished her. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, one brother, three sons-Gary, Terry, and Jay-and her son-in-law Jack Doolittle.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lakeview Healthcare Center and UHD Hospice for their care and kindness. Their care for Lois in her final years and days will be forever appreciated.
