Amanda Navora Calzada, born on June 18, 1983, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was a radiant light in the lives of many. She peacefully departed from this world on December 22, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories that will always hold a special place in the hearts of her loved ones.
Amanda was a dedicated Manager at Wal-Mart in Grants, NM, where she exemplified leadership and kindness. Her warmth and ability to make people laugh were among her proudest accomplishments, reflecting her devotion to her family and friends. As a graduate of Grants High School, she carried the spirit of her hometown with her, impacting those around her with her vibrant personality and caring nature.
Those who knew Amanda also knew her love for the holidays, particularly Christmas, when she delighted in opening all the gifts. The simple joy of family gatherings and special occasions was magnified by her enthusiastic spirit. Her passion for dressing up, going out, and enjoying life on the road in cars and trucks showcased her zest for adventure and connection with those she loved.
Amanda is survived by her father, Jesse Calzada, and her mother, Rita Calzada. She is the loving mother of her daughter, Angelica Sabroe, who will carry her legacy forward with strength and grace. Fondly remembered are her sisters: Leony, Vanessa, and Jessica, and her brothers-in-law, Jeff Krieger and Josh Marquez, who shared in her laughter and heart.
Preceding her in death is her son, Adrian Jesus Calzada Gonzales, whose memory she will surely reunite with in spirit.
Amanda’s life will be celebrated with heartfelt gatherings, including a Rosary at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Grants, NM, on January 14, 2026, at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 10:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Grants Memorial Park Cemetery, with the burial commencing at 11:15 AM. Her family invites all who knew and loved her to join in visitation at the Milan Parks & Recreation Center the same day, starting at 12:00 PM, as they come together to honor a remarkable woman whose bond with family and friends will never fade.
Amanda's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched. She will always be remembered for her laughter, her love, and her indomitable spirit.
In Lieu of donations, the family asks for flowers to honor Amanda at her service, you may have them delivered to the church the day of the service.
