Amanda "Mandy" S. Cunard, 73, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Allentown.

Born on February 19, 1952 in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late John W. Sibley,Sr. and the late Ruth (Sunday) Sibley Bensinger and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. She was a 1970 graduate of East Stroudsburg High School and 1974 graduate of the University of Tulsa. In later years was inducted into the East Stroudsburg Walls and Halls of Fame for which she also served on the steering committee.

She most recently worked at Little Hill Foundation D.B.A. Alina Lodge in Blairstown, NJ.

Music was a vital part of Mandy's life. She was a life-time member of the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for many years; she also sang in many local groups throughout her life including the Pocono Concert Chorale, Pocono Summer Chorus, Pocono Mountain Community Chorus of Churches and Pocono Vocal Locals. She was very proud of her mother's long-time connection with Fred Waring and Shawnee Press of which Mandy assisted with their "Music in the Mountains" and "Music in the Valley" choral reading workshops for many years.

Surviving are a son, Edmund J. Cunard of Lucernemines; and a brother, John W. Sibley, Jr. and his wife Nancy, of Tequesta, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Alexander L. "Buzz" Bensinger.

Mandy's life will be celebrated at a service to be held on Saturday, December 27th beginning at 1:00PM at the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, 547 Main Street, Stroudsburg with the Rev. Monica Guepet and Pastor Margie Good officiating. Private burial will take place at Stroudsburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to the Cancer Support Community: Greater Lehigh Valley (https://cscglv.gnosishosting.net/Portal/Donate) or to an organization of your choice.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the William H. Clark Funeral Home in Stroudsburg.
