Our beautiful and beloved angel lost her long-time battle with addiction on June 2, 2025, just 8 days after losing her husband, Brad, also to this awful disease of addiction.

From the moment Amanda arrived on this earth, she was so full of life and the most charismatic person you'd ever meet. Her high school years were some of her best. She was constantly surrounded by so many incredible friends that loved her dearly and cared for her unconditionally. She was always the life of the party! She loved to be around her friends, family, her husband Brad, and their sweet little baby pug, Khaleesi. She absolutely loved music, and one of her favorite activities was going to see live shows. She loved to be outdoors soaking up the sun. One of her favorite places to be was at Liberty Park every Sunday for the drum circles. We spent so many Sundays at Liberty Park.

She was our light in so many ways. Just by her walking into a room you could feel the atmosphere shift in the most positive possible way. She met the love of her life, Brad Stewart, while they were both in treatment at the Odyssey House. Their connection was instant and unbreakable. One thing about Amanda is that she loved so very deeply and so fiercely. She was one of the most loyal people you would have ever known. If you were lucky enough to know her, you loved her and her beautiful and bright energy. Losing Brad shattered her heart. She had so many big plans after this tragedy struck. She was working again, had a great friend she was preparing to move in with, and was ready to finally switch her focus onto herself and her happiness.

Amanda's horrible battle with addiction and substance abuse began many, many years ago. And although she tried time and time again to return to the path of sobriety, she just kept getting pulled back in. We all collectively wish we could have jumped in and saved her from this destructive path. Unfortunately, in addiction you cannot reach sobriety until you yourself are completely ready to do what it takes to help yourself.

We know that you are finally free of this pain AJ. You deserved happiness, you deserved love, and you deserved peace. To all of those struggling with addiction, please, get yourself the help you need before it is too late. Please don't let this be how your story ends. We love you so much, Amanda, and words could never express how much you will be missed.

Amanda was preceded in death by her husband, Brad Stewart, her father, Charles Vance Jensen, and her grandfather Harve Oldroyd. The survivors that she left behind are her mother, Sherry Richards Oldroyd, her sister Jody (Fred) Starr and their children Jake Starr, Matt (Abby) Starr, and Elizabeth Starr, her sister Sheila Jensen, her sister Katrina Jensen, her son Jack Michael Patridge, and her grandmother Audra Oldroyd.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road in Taylorsville, Utah.
