Amanda Jean Muncy

Amanda "Jean" Muncy, age 61 of Marion, passed away peacefully at home on January 3rd 2023 after a brief illness. She was born on April 11, 1961 in Albion, Michigan to Deloris (Scott) Ousley and Worley Isaac Ousley.
Jean was devoted to her family and to any and all animals, especially her fur babies George and Ally who meant so much to her. Her family and her animals brought her much joy. She was the kindest person, and was always there for anyone that needed her. She loved to sing and dance, and could always be counted on to be the source of entertainment. She was a bright, beautiful light to her family, and she will be forever remembered and missed desperately. For the last 13 years Jean worked at Kroger where she made a lot of wonderful friends. She was loved so very much. Not just by her family but by everyone that knew her.
Jean leaves behind her fiancé Heath Burchett, son Robert Muncy Jr., Sisters Sheila Ousley Webber and Annette Ousley Morris, brother Jerry Ousley, "daughter" niece Christel (Matt) Hamper, nieces Courtney (Tom) Velez and Amanda Newsome, nephews Michael Morris, Kevin Ousley, and Charles Ousley.
She also leaves behind her great nieces and nephews Treg (Kourtnie) Shockey, Dylan Shockey, Breanna Shockey and Taylor Hamper, who she treasured and considered her grandchildren. Great nieces and nephews Benjamin, Isaac, Isabella, Deloris, Jackson, Christian, Corinne, Mina and Everlee. Great-great nieces and nephews Adelynn, Kyleigh, Mallory, Rosalynn, Eliza, Jace, Logan, Greyson, Chloe, Elliott, and Adelaide.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents Worley and Deloris, a sister Molly Newsome and nephew Jerry Lee Ousley. The family will hold a celebration of life to honor Jean at a later date.
