Our beloved Amanda Grace Pulver, 21, of Great Meadows, NJ, was born on February 28th, 2003 to her loving parents Darrin and Colleen Pulver; alongside her brothers, Darrin Pulver and Michael Pulver. Tragedy and grief struck this family on Thursday, June 27th, 2024, when Amanda and her puppy Dunkin were taken from this world due to a senseless act of violence. She is survived by her father, Darrin Pulver, her mother, Colleen Pulver, and two brothers, Michael Pulver and Darrin Pulver as well as his husband Steven. She was dearly loved by her grandparents, Christina Pulver, Calvin Pulver, Margaret Bassininski, and her late grandfather Gerald Bassininski. Christina Holmberg, whom she considered a sister, was also a great, loving attribute to her life. Bento (Zach), her one and only true love.
Amanda was a 2021 graduate of Hackettstown High School and was currently a freshman in college. She was studying business management with dreams and aspirations of one day owning her own house flipping company. She spent most of her free time with her dog Dunkin and was looking forward to his first birthday on July 27, 2024. She favored her time on do-it-yourself home projects with her best friend & mother, Colleen; who she was attached at the hip to since birth. Their mother-daughter bond is something both unique and beautiful. They shared emotions, clothes, stories, daily routines; inseparable as an angel's wings.
Amanda had a love for everything fun, from going to food truck festivals, playing video games with her father, and singing along to music at the top of her lungs while driving around in the convertible with her brother Darrin. She and Darrin alongside their mutual friends enjoyed rooftop parties. From a young age, Amanda was very in-touch with her emotions and loved to talk about them and help other people with theirs in any way she could. Her and her brother Michael spent a lot of time together. Whether they were remodeling their mother's bathroom, having "therapy sessions" with their dog Pickle, or making jokes about "calling it".
During the summers, Amanda most looked forward to the family's annual vacation to Chincoteague, VA and going to Catfish Pond with her family; spending her days there swimming and playing on the trails with her sister Christina. Amanda's smile would be described as infectious by everyone she knew. From a very young age, she was the one person in any room that could make everyone laugh.
To quote from Amanda's favorite TV show "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them."
