Amanda Margaret Rhue, age 40, passed away on January 24, 2026. She was born on August 8, 1985, in Dallas, Texas.

Amanda is survived by her two beloved sons, Thomas Rhue and Isaiah Rhue; her loving mother, Lillie Ann O'Brien; her grandmother, Lillie Macalik; her sister, Theresa Ladner, and brother-in-law, John Ladner; her nephew, Brady Ladner; her godparents, Robert and Cindy Macalik; her aunts and uncles, Jeff and Dana Macalik, Mike and Barbara Macalik, Richard Macalik and Dan and Kathy Davies; and her cousins, Chris Macalik, Julie Macalik, EJ Macalik, Evan Macalik, Sara Macalik, Laura Macalik, Daniel O'Brien, Robert O'Brien, Michelle O'Brien-Nolan and John O'Brien.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Kelly O'Brien.

Amanda was funny, stubborn, and felt deeply. She wanted the most out of life and loved traveling, especially taking her boys to see new places and experience new things. More than anything, she loved being by the beach, where she felt the most at peace. Amanda loved deeply; those who knew her will remember her strong spirit, her humor, and the depth of her emotions. While her journey was not an easy one, her family prays that she is now finally at peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 20, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Rockwall Rotary Club.

Amanda's greatest legacy lives on through her children and the love she had for her family. She will be remembered, missed, and forever held in the hearts of those who loved her.
