Patty Lue Gilbert

Patty Lue Gilbert (née Kilgore) passed away on January 1, 2026, at Medical City North Hills in North Richland Hills, Texas, following a stroke. She was born on January 22, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, and was a longtime resident of Watauga, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Kilgore and Gwendolyn Poindexter Kilgore; her brothers Michael Kilgore, Norman Kilgore, and Cris Kilgore; and her beloved grandson Christopher Travis Sizemore.

Patty is survived by her brother, Raymond Kilgore and his wife, Mary.

Patty was a devoted mother of three children. She is survived by her daughter Kimothy Sanders and her husband Ricky, along with their son Damien, and his fiancée Jamileh Shiber; her daughter Aimee Johnson and her granddaughter Ali Braziel; and her son Stephen Jester, his wife Amber, and their children Clareana, Scarlett, and Rhett.

Patty was also blessed with great-grandchildren Irelynd Sizemore, Oaklyn, and Warren Braziel, all of whom brought her great joy.

Patty later married Laurence Gilbert and lovingly embraced his children as her own. Through this marriage, she is also survived by Laura Calovich and her husband Brad, and their children Halley Jo and Hunter; and Casey Gilbert and his wife Julie, and their children Hannah, Collin, and Dillon.

Patty will be remembered for her strength, her deep love for her family—both immediate and extended— and the way she welcomed others fully into her life. She was an avid collector who never passed up a good sale, especially if it meant finding something special for one of her children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren. It was one of her favorite thrills.

Patty especially cherished her beloved dog, Razor, who brought her constant companionship and comfort. Few could spend time with Patty without quickly learning just how loved Razor was.

A memorial service will be held on January 10, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the VFW, 224 Zion Hill Rd., Weatherford, TX 76088.
