Amanda Rae Saiz, a beloved Home Healthcare Attendant, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on November 4, 2025, in Los Lunas, New Mexico. Born on October 17, 1987, in Albuquerque, she was a true pillar of her family and community.
Amanda was a proud graduate of Los Lunas High School and dedicated her career to serving others, particularly the elderly. Her compassion and commitment to her work reflected her kind heart. Amanda took great joy in making rosaries, sharing her love for Starbucks, and cherishing moments spent with her nephews, Dominick and Diego, and her niece, Serenity. These simple pleasures brought her immense happiness, as did her active role as a parishioner at San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas.
Amanda leaves behind a loving family that includes her nephews and niece; Dominick, Diego and Serenity, Saiz and sister-in-law, Chantelle Saiz. She is also remembered fondly by her uncles and aunts: Alfred (Marie) Gallegos, Richard (Peggy) Gallegos, Mary Saiz, Frances Ulibarri, Robert (Maria) Saiz, Lorenzo Saiz, Teresa Lopez, and Anabelle Saiz, along with numerous cousins and friends who all held her dear.
Amanda’s spirit will forever be missed by those she loved most. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Virginia Saiz, her brother, Moises Saiz, and her maternal and paternal grandparents, Raynaldo and Isabel Gallegos, Adelaido and Dolores Saiz, as well as her paternal great-grandmother, Esmeralda Barela, and cousin, Jason Gallegos. The memory of her laughter and caring spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege to know her.
A rosary and funeral Mass will be held in her honor on November 14, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vaughn, New Mexico, beginning at 10AM, with Father Timothy Meurer officiating. The interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, where Amanda will be laid to rest.
