Funeral Services for Marilyn Morrison, 91-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away Wednesday at the Johnson County Health Care Center will be held Sunday, November 30, at 2:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel with her granddaughters Amber and Tatum officiating. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to take place on Monday December 1st, at 10:00 a.m. Donations in Marilyn's memory may be made to the Buffalo Senior Center at 671 West Fetterman in Buffalo. Marilyn Mae Morrison was born on August 31, 1934, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Joseph and Minnie Graham. She grew up and went to school on a ranch in Regina, New Mexico and graduated from Los Lunas High School in Los Lunas, New Mexico with the class of 1951. She was married in February of 1952 to Delbert Morrison and they made their home in Bosque Farms, New Mexico and later moved to Estancia, New Mexico where she was a homemaker and worked part time at the Estancia Extension Office. In 1965 they moved to Clayton, New Mexico where she was a bookkeeper for a tax accountant and later for Ethridge Chevrolet. They later moved to Los Alamos and after retirement in 1983 they bought a fishing lodge in Lake Heron, New Mexico. Mr. Morrison passed away in December of 1996, and Marilyn continued to operate the lodge until ill health forced her to retire in 2019, when she moved to Buffalo to be near family. She continued living in Buffalo until her death.
She is survived by two sons, Rick Morrison and his wife Suzanne of Frisco, Texas and Todd Morrison and his wife Lynn of Bellingham, Washington; one daughter Shelley Bolinger and her husband Kim of Buffalo; one sister, Sandra Williams of New York, New York; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, one sister and three brothers.
