Amanda Rae Scanlon, 41, beloved mother of Cash Allen Miller, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, at St. Joseph East in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on July 23, 1982, to Kimberly Susan Martin Scanlon and Thomas Ray (Angela) Scanlon. Amanda was a nurse at St. Joseph Medical. In addition to her son and her parents, Amanda is survived by a sister, Stephanie Erin Scanlon, and two brothers, Anthony James (Lauren) Scanlon, and Thomas Casper Scanlon, nieces and nephews, Baylee Scanlon, James Scanlon, Benjamin Scanlon, Lilly Bailey, Ella Gosper, Anthony Wayne Hampton and Kaylee Hampton. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 1, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastor Dan Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Jon Scanlon, Joshua Scanlon, Kevin Warfield, Shane Dean, Kris Martin, John Hayden Beasley, Todd Scanlon, and Charlie Scanlon. Honorary Bearers will be Caulin Miller, and Michael Dunn. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Betts & West Funeral Home is honored to serve Amanda and her family in their of need. Amanda, we shared so much during those years at Dr. Greenes office, then DAK. You were always special to me sweet girl. My heart is broken today learning of you passing. I'll bet the first hugs in Heaven were beautiful. Love you.
