Amber Dawn Caldwell-Whyers passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Amber was born on February 29, 1988, in Columbia, Missouri, the daughter of Scott Caldwell and Sandra Ellis Cunningham. Amber married the love of her life Cory Whyers on April 14, 2019, in Columbia, Missouri.

She is survived by her husband: Cory Whyers, her father Scott Caldwell, her mother Sandra Ellis Cunningham; her grandmother, Deane Caldwell, her sisters Kristena McKee, Amanda Caldwell, Hailey Jaynes, Mercye Ellis, her beloved dog, Lucy, and numerous other family members and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Donald W. Caldwell.

Amber attended Christian Chapel Academy and Christian Fellowship School before graduating from Rock Bridge High School in 2006. Her artistic flair and wit were evident in the many paintings and crafts she created. She subsequently pursued her studies at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. While living in St. Louis she worked as a legal assistant and enjoyed her time attending Cardinals and Blues games, truly enjoying life in the vibrant Soulard District.

Known for her culinary skills, she delighted in preparing elegant meals and hosting gatherings for family and friends. Additionally, she was a talented pianist and artist, bringing creativity and joy to the lives of those around her.

A Celebration of Amber's Life will begin at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time for the service at 2:00 p.m. Amber will be laid to rest at Columbia Cemetery.

This photo from a vacation in Cabo , encapsulates everything I knew about Amber . Her energy , her spirit, her ability to create friendships and her musical talents. There was nothing but pure joy in that moment. She was a true example of the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" song! In the quiet moments , Amber´s true gifts for caring and making others feel loved were highlighted. May her memories be a blessing to all who knew her.
A special HUG for our boy Corey
