Ms. Amber Nichole Fields, 34, of Swainsboro passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, at her residence. She was born on July 16, 1991, in Swainsboro to Jeremy Fields and Paula Driggers Akins. Amber was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, James Driggers; paternal grandfather, Billy Fields; maternal great-grandmother, Helen Joiner.
Amber was a RN at Jenkins County Medical Center. She was a devoted and caring nurse to every patient she met. She received many nominations for the DAISY award, which she took great pride in. She was a smart, compassionate, and loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all. She enjoyed spending time with family and attending all of the activities her nieces were in. She was bright light in a cold dark world, and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her mother, Paula Akins (Dave) of Twin City; father, Jeremy Fields of Swainsboro; maternal grandmother, Shirley Driggers of Swainsboro; paternal grandmother, June Johnson; brother, Austin Fields (Debbie) of Swainsboro; sisters, Lauren Kerbo (John) of Twin City, Lindsey Akins of Claxton; nieces, Amelia Taylor, Austyn Fields, Elizabeth Kerbo; nephew, Tyler Fields; special friend, Robbie Bailes; fur baby, Cooper; several uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Morris Brantley officiating. Interment will follow the service at Driggers Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 12, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are John Kerbo, Randy Love, Austin Fields, John Mabry, Nicky Drake, Robbie Bailes and Rodney Sellers.
