Amber Leigh Johnson Phillips, 49, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center on January 6, 2025. She was born October 2, 1975, in Scotland County, to Jennifer Strider Lampley and Robert “Ted” Talmadge Johnson II.
She is preceded in death by her father, Oscar "Dink” Benard Lampley; maternal grandparents, Colon and Isabel Strider; paternal grandparents, Robert “Bobby” T. and Daisy Johnson; and granddaughter, Shaleigh Phillips.
Amber was a very loyal and caring person. She would fight for everything she believed in. Remembering her infectious laughter and her beautiful smile will always be in our hearts. Amber was a fun person to be around. She always had a willing heart to forgive others. She took care of her family with great love and support.
Family members left to cherish her memories include her mother, Jennifer Strider Lampley; and father, Robert “Ted” Talmadge Johnson II (Betty); sons, Colton Tourtellotte and Steven Donaldson; daughters, Ashley Phillips (Tristan), Tearanni Evans (Melvin), Karley Phillips, Destiny Donaldson; brothers, Robert “Pony” T Johnson III (Amber) and Robert “Tony” Anthony Johnson (Brianna); aunt Marsha and Lynn Dyson; grandchildren, Tristan “TJ” Phillips, Kenstan Phillips, Marcelus Evans, Chapin Donaldson, Skye Donaldson, Steven Donaldson II.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Sunday, January 12, 2025.
Amber’s Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Tim Barrett and Jimmy Maney officiating.
Interment will be at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 13, 2024 at Westview Gardens Cemetery.
