Longtime Little Rock Nurse Amber Strawser Devoted Her Life to Caring for Others
Amber Gail Railey Strawser, 67, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026. She was born January 4, 1959, to Clifford and Edna Railey.
A 1977 graduate of Parkview High School and a 1979 graduate of the Baptist System School of Nursing, Amber dedicated more than 35 years to her calling as a registered nurse in critical care and emergency medicine. She served at Byrd Memorial Hospital in Leesville, Louisiana; Doctors Hospital, St. Vincent Infirmary, and Saline Memorial in Arkansas; and with Dr. Bruce Sanderson in Little Rock. Her compassion, professionalism, and gentle nature touched countless lives.
Amber is survived by her husband, Robbin Strawser; children and spouses, Chris and Hailey Strawser, Ashley and Kevin Sniff, Amanda Strawser, and Lance Strawser; brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Phylis Railey; and grandchildren, Brady Williams, Eli Strawser, Kamen Sniff, and Lani Sniff. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Edna Railey.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 25, at 9:30 a.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock, followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at 12:00 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock.
