Amelia Francis Pelto, age 2, passed away tragically on Saturday January 20, 2024, at UP Health Systems Portage as a result of an accident.
Amelia was born in Laurium, Michigan, on April 4, 2021, to loving parents Christopher Pelto and Brianna Korpinen.
Amelia loved rainbows, unicorns, gardening, hauling wood, playing outside, puzzles, strawberries, flowers, sledding and going for four-wheeler rides. She loved all animals and riding her play horse around the house. Her favorite thing to do was playing with her family (Dad, Mom, and big Brother Zephaniah).
Amelia is preceded in death by great-grandfather Frank Turino, and uncle Philip Maatta.
Amelia is survived by her loving parents Christopher Pelto and Brianna Korpinen, big brother Zephaniah, grandparents Zeph and Pam Korpinen of Hancock MI, grandparents Alicia and Nick Harris of Rockford MI, grandparents Chrissie Maatta and Kevin Bohlen of Jackson MI, grandpa Stanley Pelto of Boston Location, uncle Samuel Pelto and Jennie LaCasse of Copper City MI, aunty Mara Pelto of Jackson MI, uncle Zeph Korpinen of Calumet MI, aunt Kelsey and Tim Rogers of North Carolina and numerous more family members. Amelia will missed by many friends and family members.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday January 27, 2024, at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home located in Calumet, Michigan. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM on Saturday January 27, 2024, at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home.
A pot luck style luncheon will be held following the service in the Siskiwit Reception Hall.
Calumet Floral and Gifts is assisting the family with the floral arrangements for the service.
Donations may be made in Memory of Amelia at the Torch Lake Federal Credit Union located in Laurium.
