POTOSI - Amelia Rose Vissers joined the angels in heaven unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024. We welcomed Amelia to the world on May 1st, 2023, at Grant Regional Health Center. Our “peanut” brought a ray of sunshine everywhere she went and to everyone that got to know her. Though small, she always filled our family with joy. Affectionately referred to as “go-go” by her older sisters since she learned to crawl for her desire to “go”, Amelia brought her infectious energy everywhere. Upon mentioning the word “outside” she would bring you your shoes as she squealed with excitement. Her favorite times included playing with her sisters, reading books, taking care of her babies, and relentless exploring. Amelia had a special way of using her charm to get “one more” song during family dance parties.

Amelia will be greatly missed by her parents: Jeremy and Amanda Vissers; her big sisters: Olivia and Ella; Paternal Grandparents, Jeff and Lori Vissers; Maternal Grandparents: Jeff (Beth) Schulz and Shelly Streckert (Oscar); Paternal Great-Grandparents: Carol Vissers and Michael Corbielle; Maternal Great-Grandmother, Janice Steckert; Aunts and Uncles: Rosie (Craig) Vander Loop, Jennifer (Jim) Grosse, Katie (Jon) Rynish, Kristin (Brian) Diedrich, Leah Schulz (VJ Polkus), Emily (Tyler) Fink; and many cousins: Cooper, Tessa, Betsey, Kathyrn, Luke, Julia, Noah, Raelynn, Hayden, Braysen, Maven, Harlow, Vincent, Oliver, Isla, Zoey, and Tatum.

We wish to thank the Potosi EMS, Grant County Sheriff’s Department, all the staff at Grant Regional Health Center, and Fr. Bernie Rott for all their kindness and compassion during this incredibly difficult time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dickeyville, with Father Bernie Rott officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Family and friends may call on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster, 1234 South Madison Street, Lancaster, Wisconsin, where a 2:45 p.m. parish scripture service will be prayed, and on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. To honor Amelia’s memory, we encourage you to dress in bright colors. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory of Lancaster is assisting the family.

“It breaks our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.”
