Amelia Yanakis (Antonaros) of Lexington, on October 2, 2025. Beloved wife of the late John C. Yanakis. Loving aunt of Nicholas Milona of Chelmsford, and Michael Milona of North Billerica and devoted grand aunt of Alexander Milona of Salida, CO, Chris Milona of North Billerica, and Stephanie Milona of Natick. She is also survived by Michael's close friend, Bonnie Silva of Tewksbury and by her many God-children.

Amelia (Emily) was a friend to many and devoted her time to her husband John, her family, friends, and church.

A graduate of Boston University with a Batchelor's degree in Biology, class of 1952. Her early career was in medical research. Later in her career, Amelia managed cosmetic sales at Grover Cronin's and Filenes/Macy's.

Amelia was devoted to her St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Lexington. She participated on many committees and received the Diocese Laity Award with her husband John from the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston.

Amelia loved people, having many life-long friends, played bridge constantly, loved going to concerts, symphonies, movies, plays, and dances. Amelia will be missed by many.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 11 at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at 10:30am. Visitation at the church, immediately prior to the service, from 9:00am to 10:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations in her memory may be made to Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 17 Meriam St. Lexington, MA 02420. Interment at Belmont Cemetery.
