Amy Elizabeth Adams, 38, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Jewish Hospital.
She was raised by her mother, Elizabeth Neal Chappell, and step-father Randolph Chappell, along with her father, William B. Adams. She leaves behind two sisters, Meghan Adams and Eleanor Chappell; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and her beloved canine companion, Rascal.
After graduating from Ballard High School ('04), Amy attended the University of Kentucky where she majored in Elementary Education. She went on to graduate with her Master's in Education from the University of Louisville.
Amy lived each day as if it were her last. She electrified each room she walked in with her bright smile, quick witted humor, and exuberant personality. Her care-free, quirky spirit guaranteed a good time with a few belly laughs. Her creativity shined through gardening, painting, and in every birthday card she wrote. She had a gift for finding beauty and kindness in everyone she met. Amy didn't care who you were or where you came from; she loved you already.
Too many to name here, are her wonderful friends collected throughout her life that are forever dear to her family and in her memory forever. Amy, or "Aimsterboo" as they know her, loved them fiercely.
Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, March 27th at Cave Hill Cemetery. (Friends may gather at the Broadway entrance at 10:45 am).
Visitation will be held at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, KY, on Tuesday March 26th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Please send donations in memory of Amy Adams to the Waterfront Botanical Gardens PO Box 5056, Louisville, KY 40255, or the Kentucky Humane Society 1000 Lyndon Lane Suite B, Louisville KY 40222.
Arrangements under the direction of Pearson's, "Where Louisville Goes to Remember."
