Amy Lynn Bernard, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend, peacefully left this world on January 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 7, 1984, in Kettering, she was a bright soul who touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Amy's warmth and vibrant personality lit up every room she entered. An extrovert at heart, she loved to talk to people, sharing laughter and her unique perspective on life. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her would describe her as kind, funny, and at times ornery and stubborn—qualities that made her truly unforgettable. Amy possessed a big personality that drew people in, and she had a special knack for making everyone feel valued and heard.

She was a proud graduate of Fairmont High School, Class of 2003, and spent several years working at Cornerstone Kroger as a pharmacy technician. Her dedication to helping others was evident in her professional life, just as it was in her personal life. Amy cherished her role as a mother to her beloved son, Andrew Bailey, a bond which defined her life. She embraced motherhood with joy, nurturing Andrew with unconditional love and support.

Amy's interests were as diverse as her spirit. She found delight in the small pleasures of life such as getting her nails done, where her huge eyelashes would be a signature part of her vibrant look. Her love for nature was evident, as she often sought solace in the great outdoors, fishing and enjoying moments with animals. Amy had a deep appreciation for reading and an eye for collecting owls, each treasured piece a reflection of her unique charm.

She leaves behind her beloved son, Andrew as well as her devoted parents, Kathy and Michael Bernard, who raised her in a home filled with laughter and love. Amy is also survived by her loving brother, Corey Bernard, who, along with his wife Sarah, will carry her memory with them always. The family also includes many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom are heartbroken by her passing yet cherish the memories they hold dear.

Amy is reunited in spirit with her son's father, Ob, and her cousin Amanda, both of whom left an indelible mark on her heart. The legacy of Amy, a woman of immense love and joy, will endure through the many lives she touched. Her big heart and her zest for life will always be remembered by those fortunate enough to know her. Amy taught us all the importance of kindness, laughter, and keeping our spirits high, and her memory will forever remain a guiding light in our lives.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Moraine City Baptist Church, 2748 Gladstone Street. Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the church.
